Sheffield Hallam University is one of Britain's largest universities, with over 36,000 students and almost 4,200 staff from all over the world. You can choose from an impressive range of courses and benefit from state-of-the-art facilities to rival institutions worldwide.
If you study here, you'll become part of a diverse community of more than 4,700 international students from around 120 countries. You can celebrate multicultural and world events with us throughout the year, and access our Multifaith Chaplaincy which provides prayer and meditation space.
Excellent facilities and learning resources
Learning centres on each of our campuses bring together traditional library services and technologically advanced computing and multimedia facilities. They offer 24 hour access and are open seven days a week during semesters, so you can use them at a time that's convenient for you. There are around 3,600 PCs, PC classrooms, specialist labs, cafes and social spaces around the campus.
Blackboard, our virtual learning environment and e-learning system, is one of the most extensive and advanced of any university in the country. In fact, the summer 2011 International Student Barometer (ISB) ranked our virtual learning environment number one in the world. You will find it invaluable as it allows you to access course material and lecture notes and to contact other course members from on or off campus, anywhere in the world.
