This research methods course for business and management disciplines introduces you to a range of social science research methods and strategies, and the underpinning theories and philosophies.
The course allows you to develop specialist interests. It is for people who have a first degree in business and management or related disciplines and subject areas, and who
* plan to work in the fields of business and management or
* plan to conduct research which uses the methodologies of these and related subject areas
This route has Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) recognition as training for research students in organisation and management.
Modules are taught by staff within applied social sciences in the Faculty of Development and Society Graduate School and by staff within business and management in the Sheffield Business School. In some modules, you have the opportunity to meet and discuss research issues with students from other MRes Social Science routes.
All staff teaching and supervising are research active.
