Bachelor of Arts in European Studies is a unique joint programme organised by eight universities within the Una Europa consortium. It is a multidisciplinary programme that aims to equip students with the fundamental understanding of aspects and values of the European Union and European states and societies. The extensive mobility programme will teach students about Europe and expose them to the lived experience of unique European environments and cultures. The programme participant can choose one major module and one minor module out of two different specialisations: Law and Criminology; Politics and International Relations; Communication, Education, Gender and Sociology; Business and Economics, Philosophy; History; Languages and Culture. Throughout the programme, students will be enrolled in a start university (KU Leuven, Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Uniwersytet Jagiellonski w Krakowie) and a second (and possibly a third) university from the list of mobility partners (Freie Universität Berlin, Helsingin Yliopisto/Helsingfors Universitet, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, University of Edinburgh).
Graduate Profile
Programme graduates obtain knowledge of Europe and European organisations, which have become increasingly important in the context of ever deeper European integration and globalisation. In addition, graduates will develop a full suite of transversal skills acquired through Intra European mobility, language skills and group work carried out in a multicultural context. The graduates are prepared to find employment in a wide variety of leading international companies and organisations. In addition to Europe-focused organisations, European studies graduates are attractive candidates for national and subnational public services, transnational consultancy and lobby groups, national economic sectors, cultural sectors, and news organisations.
