About Telecommunication and Electronic Engineering at Sheffield Hallam University

This course is designed to fill the increasing demand for specialists in the telecommunications industry. It enables you to develop advanced knowledge and skills across telecommunications and electronics. Telecommunication and electronics are branches of engineering that apply sophisticated technology to create, operate and improve communications equipment and infrastructure. The increased need for communications in modern day society has led to the development of a complex global communication infrastructure that uses the latest mobile and wired technologies. To keep up with the increasing demands placed on this infrastructure requires engineers with the latest knowledge and skills in current and emerging technologies.
