These are all skills employers increasingly look for. You may be able to take part of your second year studies in universities abroad in a country such as Australia, Canada or the USA. Most students take a one year work placement in year three, which gives you an insight into the workings of business and service organisations. The placement provides general management opportunities in areas such as * marketing * human resource management * business operations * finance. On placement you can see how innovation and enterprise can contribute to business success. You get to apply your learning, developing solutions to real problems. Your experience on placement can give you a real advantage in the job market. If you do not complete a placement, you learn from other employment experiences in the work based-learning module.
