The global aviation industry is forecast to grow from carrying around 4 billion passengers annually at present to 7.8 billion in 2036 – and global airline revenues already exceed £600 billion per annum (IATA). The aviation industry is a complex, interlocking, highly integrated system of engineering, people, regulations, procedures and business models.
