We offer a range of PhD opportunities in the School of Mathematics.

DEPARTMENT OF APPLIED MATHEMATICS

One of the largest and most active centres for Applied Mathematics research in the UK, with a well established international reputation for quality in research and teaching.

Applied Mathematics is a broad subject and research in the Department covers a wide range of applications as well as fundamental research in analytical and numerical methods. Multidisciplinary collaboration is a feature of the research activities carried out and staff have extensive contacts with a variety of industries and other research establishments.

RESEARCH AREAS

PhD opportunities are available in all of the following areas:

  • Algebra, Geometry and Integrable Systems
