Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), based in the heart of Malaysia's capital and commerce area, is one of the country's leading technical university. The university aims to provide our graduates with the knowledge, skills and attitude required to contribute towards and play major roles in a globalized and knowledge-based economy. Our vision is to become the leading entrepreneurial technical university in the country by 2020 through excellence in research, education, training, entrepreneurship, consultancy and community services. Our research activity is focused on developing new technologies and products to support our techno-entrepreneurship ventures with our researchers, graduates and industrial partners. The university partners with many other local and international universities and research institutions to bring closer research knowledge into successful application and commercialization.

UniKL History

Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) is established on 20 August 2002. Wholly owned by Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), an agency under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKLW), Malaysia, the university is given the mandate to upgrade the status of technical education in Malaysia by the government. At Present, UniKL Boasts a total of 29, 043 students. Since its inception, UniKL has produced 37,210 graduates. Graduates of UniKL have successfully established their careers or become successful entrepreneurs in local and international arena. Universiti Kuala Lumpur is a Tier 5 Excelelent University in Malaysia – Ministy of Higher Education SETARA ranking since 2009.
