The Master of Engineering Technology (Mechanical) aims to provide graduates with the advanced knowledge and ability to carry out research and development in fields related to mechanical engineering technology. For example, green technology, thermofluids, mechanical and manufacturing, automotive, fabrication and joining, and marine technology are specialization related to mechanical engineering. Entrepreneurship elements are also embodied to this programme.

UniKL requires that all postgraduate sudents, upon graduation shall be able to:

Demonstrate a high order of skill in analysis, critical evaluation and/or professional application through the planning and execution of project work or a piece of scholary research.
Demonstrate creativity and flexiblity in the application of knowledge and skills to a new situations, to solve complex problems and to think rigorously and independently.
Produce an original research project, or a project(s) addressing a matter of substance concerning practice in a profession at a high level of originality and quality; and
Produce a substancial and well-ordered dissertation, non-print thesis or portfolio, for submission to external (applicable to postgraduate programs by research only) examination.

Entry requirements

Entry Requirements For This Course

Bachelor's degree in a related field with minimum CGPA of 2.75 from local or any higher institutions of higher learning as approved by the Senate of UniKL; OR
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field with a CGPA between 2.50-2.75 is acceptable for admission depends on rigorous internal assessment (for UniKL, the internal assessment is at least 2 years working experience in a related field). OR
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field with a CGPA less than 2.50, with at least 5 years relevant working experience is acceptable for admission.
Bachelor of Medicine MD, MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the Senate (Master Science Only)
