About Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Management at Henley Business School, University of Reading

Aim

These programmes provide students with the skills necessary for a career in the global real estate industry and the housing sector. All programmes offer professional accreditation with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) the leading professional body in the real estate industry. The University of Reading has a long history at the forefront of real estate education in Europe and enjoys a close relationship with the international real estate industry

Structure and Content

Students can choose from three programmes, the MSc Real Estate (Development, Valuation and Management) which is aimed at graduates seeking a generalist career in property and the more specialised MSc Real Estate Economics and the MSc Real Estate Finance and Investment.

Assessment Written examinations, assignments, case studies, field work, presentations.

Entry requirements

Students are expected to have obtained an upper second class honours degree (2.1) or equivalent. For the specialised programmes a primary degree with a major in economics or finance is desirable. For all programmes applicants whose first language is not English, an average score of 7.0 on IELTS, 600 in written TOEFL, or at least 200 overall in computer-based TOEFL is required.

  • Complete, as fully as possible, the University of Reading postgraduate application form available from http://www.rdg.ac.uk/pg/pages/apply/pg-applicationform.asp

  • Obtain two academic references.

  • Enclose a copy of your degree certificate and academic transcripts.

  • Apply early - places are limited to 60 across all three programmes.
