This exciting course will provide you with broad research training to prepare for a career in biomedical research.
An MSc by Research in Biomedicine is also suitable preparation for subsequent PhD studies and for students planning a research career in industry or academia.
You will spend your first term undertaking a number of taught modules to prepare you for your research project. This includes a research skills module in which you will gain hands-on training in advanced techniques such as confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, cloning, in situ hybridisation and bioinformatics.
You will then choose research projects to pursue for the rest of the course in areas such as cancer biology, cardiovascular disease, stem cells and regenerative biology, microbiology and genetics.
The fees listed are for full-time study, unless otherwise stated, and relate to courses starting in the 2018/19 academic year. Fee information will be confirmed in offer letters sent out to successful applicants.
IELTS: 6.5 overall with no element less than 5.5 (or equivalent)
