About International Business and Management at University of Reading

This innovative degree can prepare you for a successful career in international corporations and businesses.

This degree focuses on the strategic opportunities, challenges and trade-offs facing firms in an increasingly global environment and has an international focus. It balances deep theoretical grounding with a strong focus on application, and you will gain the skills to apply and analyse concepts from core management disciplines across different national and cultural contexts.

This programme will teach you the language of business, drawing on the University’s unique pedigree when it comes to examining and understanding multinational enterprises. You will gain interdisciplinary capabilities in acquiring, analysing and evaluating data in order to respond to practical international business situations. You will also develop professional skills such as effective communication and teamwork.

This four-year degree includes a third-year placement in industry.

Placement - All of our undergraduate degree programmes in accounting, business and management provide you with the opportunity to take a one-year Industry Placement between your second and final year of study, which we encourage students to do. Our careers team will provide you with expert advice and guidance – from helping choosing the right industry placement through to supporting you while working during your third year. To support you while applying we provide workshops covering all the main selection methods used by employers. This includes competency interview training, CV, cover letter and application form advice and drop-in clinics. A successful industry placement can also lead to a job offer with your placement company upon graduation. You will also have plenty of opportunity to develop excellent professional contacts that will stand you in good stead for the future. Notes about fees for this course

Subject to the Government passing legislation to raise the minimum fee cap, we will raise undergraduate tuition fees from £9,000 to £9,250 for new UK/EU students applying to start courses in the 2017/18 academic year. You will not be affected by this rise if you have deferred entry to the 2017/18 academic year. The Government will confirm future arrangements for EU students in due course.
