About Medical Imaging (Diagnostic Radiography), BSc - at University of Exeter

Modern diagnostic radiography forms an integral part of medical practice, both in making diagnosis and in treatment. From the humble beginnings of plain film techniques, we are now faced with a wide array of imaging methods using X-rays, ultrasound, magnetic resonance and radionuclides. The purpose of this degree programme is to enable you to comprehend the various principles and techniques that underpin diagnostic radiography and to use them in a safe way to the greater benefit of the patient.

On graduation you will be eligible to register as a diagnostic radiographer with the Health Professions Council and to apply for membership of the Society of Radiographers.
