BA (Hons) Event Management, Rushmore Business School

Introduction

The BA (Hons) Event Management award is designed to provide students with the practical skills required to work effectively as an events management professional. It recognises the cross-functional nature of events management providing students with a grounding in business and tourism together with the development of IT and communication skills. As the course develops, students focus on those areas applicable to managing events including business tourism, tourist destinations applied technology for events, legal and contractual issues and event planning.

Course Objective

This programme has been designed to meet the following aims:

• To provide a stimulating programme of study to develop intellectual and practical transferable skills enabling graduates to add value to their own lives and in the work-place.
• To enable students to select, to some degree, aspects of tourism and events in accordance with their interests and ambitions.
• To develop self-aware, reflective students that take responsibility for their own lifelong learning.
