About Public Speaking at Russian State University for the Humanities

The course is built to give the student a systematic idea of the political and presidential communication and genre approach to the presidential rhetoric, to lay the foundations of its formation as a person professionally speaking English, and to teach him the types of speech activities (speaking, writing, listening, translation), which will be necessary for him to perform his professional duties. Course objectives: to study the basic concepts of the discipline (rhetorical presidency, presidential rhetoric, presidential communication, etc.), an in-depth understanding of the genres and laws of the presidential texts, understanding the stylistic similarities and differences between Russian and American presidential rhetoric, improving reading, speaking, writing and listening skills in English.
