The course focuses on studying the foreign policy of the Russian Federation in the context of modern international relations. Course objectives are to give students an idea of the features of globalization and regionalization, show the growing interdependence of subjects of international relations and the emergence of new challenges and threats, among which the most important are international terrorism, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, the rapid growth of hunger, poverty and disease in many countries, the environmental crisis, the desire of the United States and NATO to create a unipolar world, and others.
