A degree in Advertising can take anywhere between 1 and 4 years depending on the degree type you choose. Most undergraduate courses offer students the choice to take a placement year in the industry, to develop their advertising skills through a real business. Postgraduate courses in Advertising usually take 1-2 years.
Throughout the course of an Advertising Degree students can expect to focus on many areas including advertising theory, advertising strategies, consumer behaviour, public relations, marketing, and media communications.
Business schools often offer degrees in Advertising at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Most institutions will accept those students onto undergraduate courses who have had previous business experience.
