Media studies is an academic discipline that looks at the media in all of its different forms, and how it affects the world and our societies. Whilst media and mass media has been present in our lives for centuries, developments in recent decades have meant that media is ever available for our digestion, in an even wider variety of formats.
A postgraduate degree in media studies will allow you to develop the skills and knowledge you gained at undergraduate level. Modules you study might include law and ethics of media, history of media and cultural change, global media, and visual storytelling.
