About Clinical Speech and Language Studies, BSc (Hons) - at Trinity College Dublin

The course is of 4 years duration and leads to a B.Sc. Honours degree in Clinical Speech and Language Studies. The course is part of the School of Linguistic, Speech and Communication Sciences at the university and students participate in a range of courses offered to members of other disciplines. There is reciprocal recognition between the Dublin course and courses in the UK recognised by the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists (RCSLT).

Theory:

Physiology; linguistics (introduction to language study); phonetics; paediatrics; speech and hearing; speech and language pathology foundation; developmental psychology; psychology; language acquisition.

Clinical Practice:

Practical and clinical work in audiology and normal development, including visits to special schools and clinics.

Examination:

All Junior Freshman must present themselves at examinations at a time in Hilary term or Trinity term determined by the school committee prior to the beginning of the academic year. Subjects for examination are as as follows:
