International Applications

The University of Exeter is home to over 30,000 students, including around 7,000 international students from 150 countries, creating a vibrant and diverse student community. The University provides a range of specific support to its international students, including visa advice, airport collections, academic support and more.

The University offers a wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees across its three faculties:

  • Faculty of Health and Life Sciences: Biosciences, Health & Care Professions, Psychology, Clinical & Biomedical Sciences, Health & Community Sciences and Public Health & Sport Sciences. 
  • Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy: Computer Science, Earth & Environmental Science (inc. Camborne School of Mines), Ecology & Conservation, Engineering, Geography, Mathematics & Statistics, Physics & Astronomy, Economics, Finance & Accounting and Management. 
  • Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences: Arab & Islamic Studies, Archaeology & History, Classics, Ancient History, Religion & Theology, Communications, Drama & Film, English & Creative Writing, Languages, Cultures & Visual Studies, Humanities and Social Sciences (Cornwall), Law School, School of Education and Social & Political Sciences, Philosophy, & Anthropology.

Student life

The University’s four beautiful campuses are based across Devon and Cornwall, a region which constantly ranks amongst the safest in the UK*. On the campuses, you’ll find cutting-edge facilities, picturesque historic buildings and plenty of peaceful green spaces. Off-campus, you’ll have everything from essential shops to international restaurants on your doorstep, as well as some of the UK’s most beautiful beaches. All the University’s campuses are well-connected by public transport, with London being only two and a half hours by train from the city of Exeter.  

There are around 450 student clubs and societies at the University, allowing you to easily find new friends who share your interests and passions. Included in this number are many cultural societies, who work with the University to put on events for major cultural celebrations throughout the year, such as Spring Festival and Diwali. As the top ranked sports University in the South of England and Wales, you’ll also find an extensive variety of sports clubs and fitness facilities across Exeter’s campuses. 

The University understands that there are times in every student’s journey when extra support may be needed, and it provides excellent services to make sure you can always access the help you need. These include a personal academic tutor, a dedicated International Student Support team, 24/7 wellbeing and security support, and more.
