About Neuroscience, MSc - at University of Exeter

  • Develop your knowledge in molecular and cellular neuroscience, neurodegenerative diseases, neuroendocrinology, and behavioural and systems neuroscience
  • Study the course in just one year, or study part-time over two or three years. Our blended (face-to-face and online) course means you benefit from the flexibility of online lectures and focused in-person teaching in small groups

  • Upon graduation you will be well placed to undertake PhD study or pursue careers within biomedical research, the NHS, teaching, Civil Service, the charity sector or medicine/veterinary medicine

Entry requirements

Minimum 2:2 honours or equivalent in a relevant science subject. Relevant subjects include biological sciences, medical sciences, cell biology, anatomy, microbiology, neuroscience, pharmacology, physiology, or molecular biology.

This programme is also open to intercalating medical students who have completed at least 360 credits (CATS) of medical training.

Students with 2:1 or 1st class honours degrees in related science subjects such as psychology, sports science, physics, chemistry, natural sciences, mathematics, or statistics may be admitted at the discretion of the programme director. A personal statement, detailing your reasons for seeking to undertake this subject, will be required.
