About Master in Motorcycle Design, Master Degree - at IAAD. - Institute of Applied Art and Design

The Master’s programme will address disciplines related to the design of motorcycles and scooters starting from the study of body style, volumes and proportions through designs that will bring the student confronted with briefs on which to define a proper strategy consistent with the target market and brand.

The designs will develop from the brief, leading through the stages of marketing, idea generation, sketching and rendering, to the final presentation of the proposal. Particular space will be devoted to designs in the area of sustainable mobility, with the aim of providing a design methodology useful for approaching in a systematic and structured way the design of transportation conceived to be environmentally, socially and economically sustainable.

Students will also be engaged in making virtual models of their own designs, supported by the modeling and rendering course.
Finally, Strategies for the development of presentations and portfolios having effective visual and communicative effects through proper content organization will be illustrated.

The Master’s programme offers a new design approach especially with reference to phenomena such as the electrification of vehicles, urban “bike sharing,” and the increasing diffusion of light vehicles such as e-bikes, but also slow vehicles such as electric scooters and personal devices, which are increasingly used in synergy with the automobile or in alternative to public transport.

Entry requirements

Both Preliminary and Master’s programmes are intended for graduates in Transportation Design, Industrial Design Automotive Engineering and related subjects, and those candidates who matured significant professional experience in the transportation field.

Fees, Funding and Scholarships at IAAD. - Institute of Applied Art and Design

IAAD. annually provides financial assistance to students, aiding in covering their tuition fees.

BACHELOR’S COURSES

First-year students at IAAD receive financial aid based on their income, motivation, and aptitude, offering partial exemption from the annual tuition fee. Economic qualifications depend on the student's family income and assets.

Applicants can submit a copy of their valid University ISEE certificate via email during the application phase, no later than the date of the admission test session they plan to attend.

MASTER’S

IAAD. supports Master’s students with scholarships partially covering course expenses and offers subsidized loans for further studies.

Please note that the number of available scholarships is limited, and it's crucial to consider that they are awarded based on the Commission's evaluation of specific qualifications, including:

Personal portfolio
Educational qualifications and degrees
Professional experience

The Commission evaluator will award scholarships at her sole discretion. IAAD provides scholarships amounting to 50% of the tuition fee. Successful candidates will be notified of their scholarship upon acceptance into the Master’s program via email.
