Language Requirements

The official language of Georgia is Georgian, and Abkhaz is a recognised regional language.

Despite English not being an official or recognised language, many Georgians speak it, and many higher education courses are offered in both Georgian and English. This means that there are many options for international students to chose from.

No matter what language you choose to study in, you will probably have to prove that your language skills will meet the teaching standards. If they don’t meet these standards, it is common for institutions to offer language courses.
