International MBA

The globalisation of the business environment has increased the demand for managers who possess international academic excellence and international professional experience. Business schools have addressed this demand by offering an International Master of Business Administration, also known as the International MBA or IMBA, which prepares individuals for the fast-paces, competitive and demanding nature of international business.

Highlighted courses and degrees in international

The IMBA is a postgraduate degree program that requires students to take classes in different countries with respective business school's partner institutions. Some programs result in awarding two degrees; one from each school attended. In some cases, students are also given the opportunity to learn a foreign language during the degree program.

Programs normally take one to two years to complete depending on the study mode chosen, however, one year programs are becoming increasingly popular. The course curriculum focuses heaving on marketing management, corporate finance and accounting, managerial economics, leadership and strategy, operations and entrepreneurship in an international setting.

Entry Requirements for Degrees in International MBA

Each institution has different entry requirements with most expecting students to already hold an undergraduate degree in a related field of study. Some international schools will also take foreign language proficiency into consideration for admissions. Other factors for entry into business schools include full-time work experience, and GMAT or GRE scores.
