A masters degree in religion will allow you to take your knowledge to the next level. Students will have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in the history of religion, how religion is taught, and the future of religions. Usually taking 1-2 years to complete, a masters degree in religion is designed to help you take your next career step.
Completing a masters degree in religion as an international student is a great way to advance your knowledge both inside and outside of the classroom. You will also be able to broaden your horizons, as you will be learning with students from all over the world.
Admission Requirements
Admission into a masters degree in religion normally requires a bachelor's degree in a related subject. Some programs will consider students from other subject areas. There may be other specific entry requirements, which you can find out about from your university.
You will also need to provide evidence of your language proficiency, depending on the teaching language. This can be done with results from the IELTS and TOEFL tests, which are accepted by most universities around the world.
Tuition Fees
International students are likely to have to pay tuition fees, but you may have access to scholarships and grants that will help with any financial costs of studying abroad. It is important that you do your research to understand what scholarships are available to you.
Careers
Graduates of a masters degree in religion will be prepared for a role in the field of religion and theology. These roles could be directly involved with a religion or religious organisations, as well as the media, education, and politics.
