Course Overview
This course covers the recognised environmental assessment standards such as those illustrated in Green Dragon and ISO 14001, the assessment of any harmful effects of pollution sources on the local ecological systems and consideration of basic registers, in which to store this information. It will explore the organisation's process flows - inputs and outputs, pollution sources, pathways and receptors - including delivery of raw materials from suppliers, and consideration of the principles of best available techniques (BAT) and best available techniques not entailing excessive cost (BATNEEC).
Assessment
A written assignment that examines an understanding of the learners workplace pollution sources and the potential harmful effects to the local eco systems.
