Overview
If you want to be able to teach English to Secondary School children successfully, this is the perfect course for you. The course will help you develop the knowledge and skills needed for you to become an amazing teacher.
One who can continually develop their own practice, enthuse, engage and inspire young people in their learning of all subjects, and make a positive difference to lives.
As well as gaining professional experience with placements in Secondary Schools, you will also have the opportunity to do a placement in a different educational setting of interest to you, such as a special needs school or an education department of a zoo.
You will gain a Bachelor of Arts degree on successful completion of the course and be recommended for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to the Teaching Regulation Authority.

112-120 points from 3 A levels, or equivalent.
All applicants must have achieved at least a grade 4/C in GCSE in English, Maths and a Science subject or equivalent. Applicants meeting the required GCSE standard by taking an equivalence test or other evidence may be required to undertake additional assessment to meet Level 2 criteria for apprenticeship funding.
All applicants will be required to complete a Skills Gap Analysis before completing an application form All applicants will be invited to attend an academic interview and may be asked to submit a portfolio of work or undertake additional assessment If you do not have an acceptable qualification, you will be required to take an additional assessment during the application process
