This Higher Diploma in Applied Mathematics programme is aimed at you if you have a background in Applied Mathematics or Mathematics, equivalent to a Level 7 degree, and you wish to improve your knowledge of these areas.
The programme seeks to further develop your ability in applying mathematical tools to address real-world problems. The problems investigated arise in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mechanics, Social Sciences and many others fields.
Applications are made online via the University of Galway Postgraduate Applications System. Selection is based on the candidate's academic record at undergraduate level and their aptitude for the course.
Assessment is by continuous assessment, examination and project work.
