The MCI European Master in Health Economics and Management (Eu-HEM) is a unique international joint degree program which offers interdisciplinary studies of methods and economics, management, leadership, policy, governance and law at four European universities. Consortium partners are:
  

  • Management Center Innsbruck (MCI)
  • Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR)
  • The University of Bologna (UniBo)
  • The University of Oslo (UiO)

This master program prepares students for careers in the healthcare sector by developing competences and expertise in the field of health economics and policy, healthcare management, health law and regulation. Eu-HEM is a two year 120 ECTS program, offering six fields of specialization:

  • Management of Healthcare Institutions
  • Economic Evaluation in Healthcare
  • Health Economics (Research Track)
  • Decision Making in Healthcare
  • Global Health
  • Healthcare Finance and Management

Entry requirements

The European Master in Health Economics and Management has a yearly intake of 60 students per cohort. The application and admission process for the European Master in Health Economics and Management is organised at the University of Oslo. The Erasmus University Rotterdam is the coordinating university, and is responsible for enrolment. A Consortium Board that consists of representatives of the four partner universities manages the program. Before you apply, you must be aware of the following:

  • The offered admission will indicate where you will begin you study.
  • If you are admitted and accept the offer you will receive an enrolment letter from Erasmus University Rotterdam
  • Students will start their studies at one of the four partner universities. The Consortium Board will allocate the admitted students among the four universities for the first semester based on students’ preferences and their rank in the application process.
  • The first semester in Oslo starts in August, while the first semester in Bologna, Innsbruck, and Rotterdam starts in September.
