This programme provides a solid understanding of the accounting and strategic management issues involved in the business environment, and builds in-depth knowledge of the accounting background.
Graduates from this programme are likely to take up professional accounting training or managerial careers, in both the business and public sectors, or to continue study by research in related disciplines.
The programme will develop students' understanding of, and ability to evaluate, a comprehensive range of research techniques used in the areas of international accounting and strategic management, and learn how to put these into practice. Students will critically evaluate academic and professional research, and gain the opportunity to carry out original research on a relevant topic through a dissertation.
The programme will also assist the development of transferable skills (particularly teamwork, communication and presentation) for employment in the accountancy and managerial sectors and those required for undertaking further academic research.
