Do you want to change lives for the better? Our Operating Department Practice course helps you gain the skills you need to play a valued role in the operating theatre working with surgeons, anaesthetists and other clinical teams.
You’ll learn from experienced lecturers and technicians using state-of-the-art simulation facilities, with time out on clinical placement where you'll build up your practice hours and learn by doing.
This combined learning approach of theory and experience will prepare you to help patients through the vulnerable times in their lives. Upon completion of the degree, you’ll be eligible to register with the Health & Care Professions Council.

We make sure you are equipped fully to deal with anything life as an ODP throws at you. With the opportunity to gain one to one tutoring with former and current ODPs, you will learn about the roles of generalist experts such as anaesthetists, nurses, surgeons and more, you’ll have a good idea of what you’ll face after graduation through first hand practical learning.

Accredited course
