Sustainable development is an academic discipline that focuses on the understanding of how the world can meet its current needs, whilst still ensuring that future generations will also be able to meet their own needs, and will have access to everything they need. As a student of sustainable development, you will be interested in making sure that the resources we currently use to keep society moving forward are treated with respect, and we find ways to use them wisely and sustainably.
