Study a African Studies degree in the UK in 2025

African studies is an academic subject that examines the continent of Africa, looking specifically at the cultural, historical and societal elements of the continent, as opposed to its geographical or zoological make-up. Someone who chooses to study and then work in African studies might have an interest around a specific area of the subject, or may be generally interested in the African continent. As a graduate of African studies, you will have a unique and increasingly sought-after set of skills.
