A degree in data analytics gives international students the knowledge to transform complex data into actionable insights.
Data analytics looks at how we can understand the vast array of data that is now available in every aspect of life. As a data analyst, you will use computer programs and databases to examine different types of raw data, and turn them into digestible information. This information can then be used by businesses and organisations to improve their product, services or performance.
Modules you study could include statistics, information systems, calculus, and information mining. Your degree will be delivered in a mixture of modes. These could include lectures and seminars, as well as group projects and computer lab sessions. Depending on your course, you may have the opportunity to take part in a work placement.
A postgraduate degree in data analytics will allow you to expand on the knowledge and skills gained at undergraduate level. Modules you study might include big data analytics, data management, statistical inference, and software architecture.
