Course summary
The University of West London has run a programme accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) for over 40 years.
The PG Diploma in Human Resource Management (HRM) is a specialist postgraduate course designed primarily to meet the career development needs of human resource managers, advisers and administrators, in line with the subject benchmark statements of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) for postgraduate degrees in business and management (2007). The course also meets the Advanced Level knowledge requirements of the CIPD for upgrading to the professional grades of membership.
Throughout the course, you will be encouraged to take a critical perspective on current theory and practice, to analyse complex problems and devise creative solutions to them, and to develop the skills needed to conduct research into HRM issues. You will be expected to take responsibility for your own learning, to contribute to the learning of others, and to be a reflective practitioner.
