Course summary

Delivery of this course is through part-time evening sessions with some modules delivered via blended learning. 

UWL is a Chartered Institute of Procurement  (CIPS) study centre which has been granted Centre of Excellence status for the past fifteen years. Tuition is provided by experienced qualified procurement professionals.
 
CIPS is global with a community of 88,000 people in 150 countries. CIPS awarding body is regulated by Ofqual in England. You can study part time to achieve MCIPS in two years intensive study or three years at normal pace.

Over 60% of those studying CIPS at UWL hold degrees. This is the route for Business Graduates into the Procurement Profession. Detailed information at www.cips.org/en/aboutcips.

Fees

Notes

Fees for all EU students are £450 per unit. Therefore as there are five units per Level, the total fee for each level is £2,250. Fees for non EU students are £490 per unit. Therefore the total fee for each level is £2,450 for non-EU students.

Funding

Help with funding is available to a range of students, whether you are studying full or part-time, in your home country or overseas.

You may be eligible for a student loan to cover the cost of tuition fees or a maintenance loan to support you during your studies. Additional funding is available to some types of students, such as those with dependants, disabled students and more. Find out more about applying for student loans and other funding options.

We also offer a range of scholarships and bursaries to help you. Current scholarships include:

  • Full Time Undergraduate Bursary: a £3,000 award for new undergraduate students.
  • Path to Success Scholarship: a £4,000 award for students on a four-year degree course with a foundation year.

Please note fees are paid for each year of study unless otherwise stated. You will be required to re-enrol and pay fees at the beginning of each academic year. Fees may be subject to government regulations on fee increases. Future inflationary increases will be applied to each subsequent year of the course, subject to government regulations on fee increases.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements

Two A level qualifications / international equivalent or CIPS Cert in Procurement and Supply Operations. Also at least two years business experience in a responsible position.

You must be a mature student to study this course.

International Entry Criteria
IELTS 6.5 overall and a (UKBVA required) minimum of 5.5 for each of the four individual components (reading, writing, speaking and listening.)

Membership
To take CIPS qualifications all students need to be CIPS members. Enrol at the CIPS website www.cips.org/join. The latest time to do this by is one week into the first course.

Membership provides professional development resources to support studies and careers.
