Overview
This dynamic course offers you the chance to learn about fashion branding and marketing,  preparing you for a successful career working in the global fashion industry, in the specialised areas of brand management and Marketing.


Why choose this course?You will develop an understanding of the marketing strategies for all types of retailers, from value high street to luxury sectors.  It will guide students through specialisms such as market research, consumer behaviour, creative strategic marketing communications, digital marketing media, brand management and luxury branding. You will gage an appreciation of marketing in a wider context through consideration of aspects such as ethics, social marketing and corporate social responsibility.
You will also have the opportunity to research current trends in global international markets and will explore marketing communications. You will learn to utilise current creative media, as well as, developing a strong eye for contemporary and future fashion trends.Throughout the course you will work on enhancing your:

  • communication and presentation skills
  • creative management skills
  • problem solving skills
  • numeric ability. 

Industry professionals interact with the course on projects as visiting speakers. You will engage in industrial visits and relevant cultural exhibitions, allowing you the opportunity to develop a professional portfolio of student work.  You will also receive guidance on CV creation during the course to enhance your employability prospects.






Career and study progression
Graduates of the BA (Hons) Fashion Branding and Marketing will be well equipped to enter and succeed in a range of fashion careers both in full-time employment and freelance scenarios. These commonly fall into a number of categories including marketing and related specialist communications (in-house and agency.)

Funding

Help with funding is available to a range of students, whether you are studying full or part-time, in your home country or overseas.

You may be eligible for a student loan to cover the cost of tuition fees or a maintenance loan to support you during your studies.   • Full Time Undergraduate Bursary: a £3,000 award for new undergraduate students.
  • Path to Success Scholarship: a £4,000 award for students on a four-year degree course with a foundation year.

Please note fees are paid for each year of study unless otherwise stated. You will be required to re-enrol and pay fees at the beginning of each academic year. Fees may be subject to government regulations on fee increases. Future inflationary increases will be applied to each subsequent year of the course, subject to government regulations on fee increases.

Entry requirements

We encourage students with a varied and diverse background to apply as well as subjects that range from A Levels/BTEC, including any business, design, media, fashion related subject, plus GCSE English and Maths at C grade or above.

We welcome applications from mature students, or students with relevant work experience. If you have no formal qualifications we will consider you on an individual basis.

International entry criteria

International students need to meet our English language requirement at either IELTS at 6.0 or above and a minimum of 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).
