About Career Innovation, PG Cert - at University of West London

Course summary

OverviewOur Postgraduate Certificate in Career Innovation is designed to enhance and develop your knowledge and skills through the career focussed project in which you will gain an understanding of practice in your chosen field.  You will be challenged to demonstrate originality through assessment on a piece of professional, industry focussed, work.
Why choose this course? As part of the University's new Education Extra initiative, we are offering a free Postgraduate Certificate to all (UK and EU) undergraduate students who graduated with honours in 2016 or who will graduate in 2017!
The PgCert is designed to help boost your job prospects, giving you a competitive edge in the jobs market. It is ideal either for those seeking to develop their skills and move up to a better job, or for anyone still trying to secure employment.
You will be expected to develop a proposal for a piece of work in consultation with the UWL Project Bureau and the Expert Knowledge Bank (made up of the industry partners with which the university already works). This unique project will make a significant contribution to your knowledge and skills in the field and prepare you for entry into the workplace at a higher level.
Career and study progressionHaving completed a PG Cert students may wish to go on to study for a Masters level degree. It is, however, anticipated that PgCert students will be seeking entry into their chosen profession at a more senior level than they might have expected with an undergraduate degree.
