Course Overview
This course will look at the principles of process safety leadership (PSLG 2010), lead and lag process safety performance indicators, benchmarking and learning from others, from events, incidents and near misses. Review and assessment of business risks relating to process safety, the effect of environmental, organisational and job factors, along with human and individual characteristics, influencing behaviour in the workplace will be explored. How individuals relate to each other and work effectively together, and organizational design, change management and organisational behaviour and safety culture will be considered.

Assessment
A written assignment equivalent to 2500 words outlining the learner's role and responsibilities within process safety at their place of work.
Further Information
You will be required to attend two half-day teaching sessions at the Carmarthen Campus. These days will provide you with a secure foundation for your study. Throughout this module you will be supported by a Tutor. This support can either be face-to-face, via telephone, email or Skype - or a mix of all these. You will be required to complete the module within three months of the induction.
