If previous life events have stopped you from studying and you want another opportunity, this programme is made for you. The Gateway offers an opportunity to redefine your life - to learn new skills, meet new people and join the academic community.
The Gateway year is split into two sections. The first section of the course begins gently with a light introduction to study to help you get into the swing of things. On successful completion of the first part of the course students are enabled to make the transition onto a degree subject of their choice.
After completing 120 credits the student has the option to leave with a Certificate or continue on to complete an undergraduate degree.
Classes in the first section are delivered between 11-3pm on Tuesday and Thursday so as to support any other life commitments you might have. All of these initial classes are delivered in a supportive environment to help you grade into your new life as a student.
