Course Overview
This degree programme is the foundation for anyone who is interested in understanding the environments around them and the ways in which the world and communities can sustain themselves for future generations.
The BA Political Ecology is a unique and topical degree programme that is extremely relevant in 21st century. Globalisation, population growth and climate change are all concerns that impact upon societies and we need knowledgable, well-informed individuals to address these issues that are facing us and future generations.
Students on this degree scheme will consider these environmental issues and ways in which they can be resolved. By graduation, students will have a comprehensive understanding of environmental issues in relation to politics, society, culture, and economics, and will have the confidence and skill set to move into the working world and put into practice their theories.
Students will draw from the expertise within the well-established philosophy & ethics and anthropology departments, as well as the staff whose research lies in environmental and ecological developments and challenges.
To find out more about the course and the Lampeter campus, we have Open Days and Visit Days throughout the year. There is the opportunity to meet the staff, explore the campus, and get further insight into the degree programme. Click here for a list of the dates and to book.
