The Master’s degree deepens the understanding of basic elements of modern Physics and of Theoretical Physics, allowing students to strengthen their knowledge of specific fields like Biophysics, Nanoscience, Condensed Matter Physics, Nuclear and Particle Physics, Physics of Fundamental Interactions. The programme provides direct experience of laboratory and computer calculation techniques and data analysis.

Path 1 – Physics of the fundamental interactions: Physics Laboratory; Theoretical Physics of the Fundamental Interactions; Nuclear Physics; Subnuclear Physics; Standard Model; specific courses on experimental and theoretical topics of interest in the physics behind the fundamental interactions
Path 2 – Physics of Matter: Physics Laboratory; Models of Theoretical Physics; Solid State Physics; Statistical Mechanics; specific courses in Physics of Matter
Path 3 – Interdisciplinary Physics: Physics Laboratory and wide choice of courses of applied and interdisciplinary Physics.

Graduates work as professionals in industries involving new technologies, in innovative service companies and in all activities requiring understanding and modelling of processes, ability in analysis and testing as well as experimental skills and a problem solving attitude.
