About Nursing (Diploma), UG:Diploma - at University of Nottingham

The School of Nursing has a proud history of delivering excellent nurse education. As the largest School of Nursing in the UK, we have around 300 academic and support staff and over 4,000 students.

We are based in six locations, all in key regional hospitals, ensuring a direct link with professional practice. We also work closely with our health service partners to provide leading programmes across the profession from the pre-registration courses to postgraduate opportunities and cutting edge research.

We have a variety of masters and doctoral programmes for health and social care professionals that are available on a full or part-time basis. Staff and students are engaged with the latest developments in health services practice and research nationally and internationally.

MSc in Advanced Nursing - provides preparation for specialist nursing roles and the advancement of nursing and practice. Students focus work on their own specialist area.

Doctor of Health Science (DHSci) - prepares graduates for independent research in practice. A series of taught modules are followed by a thesis based on empirical research closely aligned to the student's practice area.

MA in Research Methods (Health Studies) - this course is accredited by the ESRC as a mark of its quality and national recognition. It provides a rigorous preparation for work in many research settings, or for continuation to doctoral education and independent research.

MPhil/PhD - this programme prepares graduates to be independent researchers contributing to the development of knowledge in nursing or health studies. Students are well supported and usually have two supervisors to provide guidance.

We welcome applications from suitably qualified international nurses and health professionals.
