About Master of Global Management, MGM - at The University of Hong Kong

The Master of Global Management programme offers a rigorous and cutting-edge learning experience to enhance student understanding of global management issues and to be effective in managing in global contexts through an in-depth understanding of matters relating to individuals, teams, organizations and nations. The curriculum is built on three groups of modules that incorporate individual, organizational and national knowledge pertinent to effective management of global issues. The courses will be delivered by faculty members from HKU and other top overseas university as well as highly experienced top executives.

Students need to complete a total of ten 6-credit courses, comprising six core courses and four elective courses. Up to three elective courses may be taken from other taught postgraduate programmes offered by the Faculty.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for admission to the courses leading to a taught postgraduate qualification, a candidate:

a) shall comply with the General Regulations;

b) shall hold a Bachelor's degree of this University or a qualification of equivalent standard from this University or another comparable institution accepted for this purpose;

c) shall satisfy any other admission requirements which may be prescribed from time to time for the relevant curriculum; and

d) for a candidate who is seeking admission on the basis of a qualification from a university or comparable institution outside Hong Kong of which the language of teaching and/or examination is not English, shall satisfy the University English language requirement applicable to high degrees as prescribed under General Regulation G2(b).

An application for exemption from the above requirements shall be considered on a case by case basis.
