This is a popular and proven choice for anybody looking for a management career in industry, commerce or the public sector.

The programme will give you a detailed understanding of the functional areas of business and how they interact with management theories and practice. It will equip you with a detailed knowledge of businesses, a broad appreciation of the environment in which they operate, the theory and practice of management, and the range of skills necessary for high employability in the administrative and managerial job market.

During the first year you'll take five compulsory modules: Principles of Economics; Introduction to Business Statistics; Introduction to Accounting; Management Concepts and Practice; and Operations Management. There is also a further optional module. In the second, you'll study: Management Accounting; Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management; and Marketing and Consumer Behaviour. These are complemented by 30 credits of electives.

In addition to a comprehensive range of modules outlined above, the programme seeks to integrate the various components studied through the final year Business Strategy module. Also in the final year, you'll study a Financial Management module and undertake a business project.

Please note that no previous study of economics is required or assumed.
