About Economics and Experimental Economics, MSc - at University of Exeter Business School

This programme is designed for those wishing to pursue a degree in economics that integrates wtih recent developments in experimental economics. The degree draws upon our expertise in the development, running and interpretation of experiemntal methods applied to economic and finance issues.

As part of this programme, you will be involved in FEELE, the Finance and Economics Experimental Laboratory at Exeter.

The core of the programme follows that of Economics, where you take core modules in Macroeconomics, Microeconomics and Quantitative & Research methods. In the second semester, you take the Experimental Economics and Finance module, along with one other option module from the list of those available.

The second semester also includes a seminar where, as part of a group, you read and analyse an important academic paper in depth, and present it to the other students.

You then proceed to a dissertation that is completed over the last 3 months of the MSc programme. This involves the developement and interpretation of a specific experiement you have been involved with throughout the academic year.
