Structure

This programme is supported by over twenty specialist visitors to reflect the goals of each cohort of students. Taught sessions are held two days per week to enable students to continue their creative practice. The course comprises four taught modules and a dissertation or creative equivalent.

Teaching

The course is connected with the University of East Anglia's Schools of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing and Art, Media and American Studies as well as the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and the Norwich Writers Centre. Speakers are drawn from across the UK creative industries including the Arts Council, Charitable Trusts, Corporate Sponsors, National Lottery and Local Authorities. Leading professionals provide technical briefings in financial management, communications, law, marketing and digital technology. Seminars and talks are given by publishers, agents, collectors, curators, concert promoters and festival directors.

Employability

Graduates of this Master's degree from the UK, USA, China, Russia and the Far East have already achieved success in establishing their creative careers. These students went on to diverse careers where they: formed theatre companies, published creative writing, held gallery exhibitions, appeared in the West End, recorded albums, produced street art, championed environmental projects, poetry slams, run festivals and launched pop-up creative enterprises.
