Study

This flexible programme covers a broad spectrum of computing, reflecting the research interests and specialist knowledge of the School of Computing Science at UEA.

Structure

The course offers greater flexibility than our other more specialised MSc courses, allowing you to focus on your chosen area of research within the School of Computing Science. Other modules are designed to complement your specialty and widen your knowledge. You will also develop enhanced technical and analytical skills in your chosen area of specialisation. Some project work may be undertaken with companies, which could involve paid placement.

Teaching

The School of Computing Science at UEA maintains close ties with industry professionals, with many of the student assignments directly seeking solutions to real world problems. The School utilises its internationally recognised research commercially, and graduates of this course often use taught technical and entrepreneurial skills to fulfil influential roles within the local and international community.

Employability

The programme will prepare you for further education, such as a PhD, to pursue a career in industrial or academic research. Entry requirements

Open to students with a good first degree (min 2.1 or equivalent) in Computer Science or similar subject, or those with equivalent qualifications and experience.
