The course is primarily designed for those who wish to follow careers as Biomedical Scientists in the wider context of biomedical science (including bio-pharmaceutical and bio-industries).The course was re-accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) UK and approved by the Academy of Medical Laboratory Sciences in 2013. An MSc in Biomedical Science accredited by the IBMS provides eligibility for the title of Chartered Scientist if the individual meets the other eligibility criteria of corporate membership and active engagement in CPD. This MSc is not a suitable qualification for the purposes of HCPC registration in the UK.
