The Finance master’s programme offered by the NHH Norwegian School of Economics prepares you for a wide range of outstanding career opportunities within financial services, consulting and auditing.
The portfolio is designed and taught by NHH’s internationally recognised faculty in finance and related areas, whose academic research and industry knowledge ensure that the courses are relevant and of high quality.
Taught in English over two years, the Finance master’s programme offered by the NHH Norwegian School of Economics combine a rigorous theoretical approach with relevant applications. Students will develop a deep understanding of the theoretical framework and empirical evidence in finance.
You will learn to analyse real-life problems related to financial markets and financial decision-making in firms, and to apply principles at the research frontier.
Upon completion of the programme, you will possess skills for performing investment analysis and valuation, evaluating portfolio management strategies and techniques, and making corporate finance decisions and risk management considerations.
You can tailor the programme to suit your own interests and choose to specialize in areas ranging from corporate finance, investment management or macroeconomics to ensure in-depth knowledge and skills vital for a chosen career path.

NHH candidates quickly find relevant, well paid jobs after their studies, shows NHH’s labour market survey (2018). The labour market survey is an annual survey of how NHH graduates are received in the labour market. It was sent to the 489 candidates who graduated in spring 2018.
The responses show that over 92 % had found work six months after completing their master’s degrees. About 3.5 % of the candidates chose to continue their studies at NHH or other educational institutions. Among those in employment, 85.6% stated that they had received a job offer before they had graduated. 96 % consider their work to be relevant to their education from NHH.
ACCREDITATION
We are, as the only Norwegian institution, a member of CEMS - The Global Alliance in Management Education. CEMS is a global alliance of academic and corporate institutions dedicated to educating and preparing future generations of global business leaders to enter into a multilingual, multicultural and interconnected business world through the CEMS Masters in International Management.
NHH is a government funded university and therefore charges no application or tuition fees. As a student at NHH, the only fee you are required to pay is a small semester registration fee to the Student Welfare Organization in Bergen (SiB), allowing you to benefit from their services. The amount is currently approximately NOK 800 per semester.
Some applicants are obliged to document financial ability in order to be granted a residence permit to study in Norway (citizens outside the EU/EEA area and Switzerland).
